Red Cross Shelters Provide Hope for Wildfire Evacuees Area Man Gives blood to help others
In communities east of San Diego, mountain residents fleeing the ruthless Cedar fire, the largest of 11 wildfires burning in Southern California, are finding more than a safe place to stay at Red Cross shelters – they’re discovering hope and unconditional kindness amid impending disaster. A local man gave some of his blood today to help people less fortunate than himself. The man was quoted as saying,"If my blood can give life to someone else then by all means take as much as is needed." The man was part of a local blood drive in the Schuylkill & Eastern Northumbeland Co. area.
