Armed Forces Emergency Services

In 1995 the American Red Cross was chartered by the United States Congress to provide two services:
Disaster Relief and Service to members of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Armed Forces Emergency Services is the worldwide program through which the American Red Cross Provides its services to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
The Primary services we offer are: Emergency Communications; Financial Assistance in emergency & disaster situations; and Information and referral.

If you call, please be sure to have the service members Full name including middle initial; Social Security Number; Military Address; Rank and Branch of Service and a base contact number if possible, avaiable for our Case Worker. Since all branches of the service are now computerized, incomplete information could result in unnecessary delay.

Last year we assisted with 111 emergency military cases.
